i have a brand new and unused hope headset for sale if you are interested. gunsmoke finish (i have a matching seatclamp for a 27.7mm seatpost if you are that way inclined)

if you can afford Chris King then go with that

if you can afford Hope but not Chris King then go with that

if you want sealed bearings but cant afford Hope then Superstar/Cane Creek/others are available

if you don't care about sealed bearings (and not everyone does) then get a Pig or other brand without sealed bearings

value is completely subjective, depending on finance / knowledge / involvement and lots of other things.

Agreed. If budget still an issue go for second hand rather than looking elsewhere.
