I'm after some reasonably cheap tights to keep my legs warm on night rides. I'd prefer non-padded and as long as possible although I'm expecting them to be a bit short (my usual trousers have an inside leg length of 35-36"). What can you recommend? Thanks.
Marks and Spencer 40 denier
Thanks nigel 🙄
On second thoughts, could leg-warmers be a better option?
CRC have lots on offer at the moment. I just ordered some Campagnolo thermal winter tights that were half price.
Lusso Roubaix here, decent cut, fit and price, take years to wear out.
Marks and Spencer's my arris,Asda is far cheaper.
Asda? Cheapskate!
No but seriously Helly Hanson Thermal I use bought ridiculously cheap at a local outdoors centre shop closing down sale. Nice and warm and comfy though....
Another vote for Lusso, really well made and a very good fit. That's coming from someone with stick legs.

Try googling crotchless. Have you considered the benefits of stockings?
Ronhill Bikesters. Had mine for nearly 10 years now and they are still going strong. Ok, so they didn't fit for a few of those years, but I'm back in them now!
Cheap enough as well, seen them for £10 over xmas.

Are you a PE teacher from the 1970's?, There's a good reason they are only £10. 😉
Not all Roubaix fabrics are the same, the major manufacturers have kept the Roubaix name for their cold weather fabrics but in the past few years the make up and design of the insulation of the Roubaix fabric has changed a great deal - DHB on wiggle do an unpadded roubaix tight that is very good.

+1 on those ones.
+1 for DHB
I'm wearing roubaix longs + roubaix leg warmers + endura humvee's.
Once the temperature goes back above freezing I'll ditch the shorts and leg warmers.
Lusso Roubouix for me as well, always been a bit of a Gore fanboy but thought I'd give the Lusso's a chance at 30 odd quid and they are great. Handmade in the UK to...
Lusso again.
also you can buy from the factory and they will do mods to new and used garments for you.
I had stirrups with my tights which don't work with the shoe/sox combo i have. they converted them to zips for me for £12. excellant service, if anything they came out a little long, not an issue. But might be just what you need
give them a call

There's a reason that they are still available after all these years. I wear mine for biking, running and under my trousers for winter walking/climbing. Good all-round base/outer layer in my opinion.
