So I need a back protector for an event, should such things actually happen this year.
I've currently got a camelbak kudu with one "built in" which is sufficient for the rules at least.
I think I'd rather have something more vest/Jersey like or at least, not dependent on my backpack as its less likely to move around and (in my head) will be more comfortable. There's lots to choose from, only I seem to be drawing a blank on something of suitable sizing as at my height they're seemingly designed only for professional rugby players and keep coming back to either a backpack one such as I have, or a stand alone harnessey type thing (eg. The Scott AirFlex).
So, can anyone suggest a vest type one which is likely to fit me at 6'4" with a measly 40" chest? Or a good harness like thing?
seems camelbak have stopped the Kudu - not on thier website.
I assume you have the older model, the newer (you must be able to still find them somewhere) one you could wear the back protector on its own. this might help without a huge backpack shifting it about?
Evoc do protector vests with different sizes (and male/female specific) so you might have more chance at getting a good fit than a 1 size fits all type thing.

I'd looked at the evoc vest and quite liked it but unfortunately the xl is a 44 to 46 chest. No way it would stay put (and I'd look like a kid in their dad's suit).
Hadn't spotted the back protector could be worn separately on the newer camelbak, or the sizing for the evoc packs though thank you.
