So I’m after recommendations for a robust way of carrying and keeping 1 or 2 cups worth of coffee hot. My regular cafes are closed, off road rides and can be carried in a bottle cage or frame bag, cheers...

Contigo West Loop Autoseal Travel Mug.

No leaks at all and keeps drinks warm for hours. It’s so good it feels cold on the outside when there’s a piping hot drink inside.

IME modern Stanleys are shit since production went to China from the USA. I gave up with Stanley after my third warranty.

I thought all vacuum flasks are made in China. Nowhere in US/Europe has the technology to make them anymore.

The best I have are actual Thermos (0.5L and 0.75L stainless). My experience of Stanley is exactly as Kuco says.

Thermos is a brand, and they do a lot of vacuum flasks but they are a little big. Mrs foo has started carrying a 350ml GSI Microlite Flip which is perfect. Has a better more secure lid than Contigo too.

I use a Thermos King Travel tumbler, stays hot for 4 hours easily and it's never leaked yet. I've used mine daily for about a year now and it's never let me down.

Lifeventure.

My newest one must be at least 10 years old and is used, and bashed about, every day of the week all year round. I like coffee. A lot.

Contigo is better for a single drink you're drinking on the go

I have a few flasks, my favourite and best one is a zojirushi. Great for two big cups or a few flask lid cups

Another vote for Lifeventure here. Recently got a 300mm TiV Vacuum Flask from their online store and its been great. Used again today, carried in a frame bag, no leaks and kept my coffee hot. Pretty dinky too...

CamelBack Forge.
Admittedly, I’ve never carried it in a bottle cage, but it keeps your coffee warm abs is very robust.

@martinhutch yes the Stanley one is that size. No cup attached as you drink straight from the flask. It doesn’t lose much heat at all. I can drink from it over a 4 hour ride with the coffee still being pleasant.

Which Zojirushi are you all using?
Does it fit in a bottle cage?

I've got loads of different flasks but my favourite is a super sparrow.

When I changed jobs a few years ago it was a leaving present. Knowing nothing about them I thought it was a cheap flask and didn't use it for a while.

It comes with two lids, one for hot and one for cold. It has a neoprene cover with a strap.

Having used it for 2 years I can't recommend it enough.

1) it doesn't taste funny after using it. You know, that flask smell.

2) it stays hot for over 12 hours

3) it doesn't leak

4) there are no recesses some flasks have in the lid so makes it really easy to clean.

5) its tough, it's been dropped and kicked around and still looks new.

6) it's not a cheap flask! About £25. But highly recommended

They've come down in price!

Timely thread as MsJimmy wants a new flask for Christmas. We have two lifeventures from about 10 years ago and they're terrible - leak heat from the off and stuff is Luke warm at best once opened on the hill.

Elite Deboyo

https://www.elite-it.com/en/products/water-bottles/thermal/deboyo

Fits the bottle cage and good for 6 hours, longer if kept wrapped up in a bag.

Just don't expect much in the way of warranty from them, they are very elusive when it comes to honouring their "lifetime" warranty 2 leaky lids so far

I have managed to fit both a small thermos king flask and a Contigo Metra/Transit flask into a bottle cage and they have never bounced out.
