I built a set of CX wheels using Novatec D771/D772 6 bolt Hubs with DT Swiss 460db rims and Sapim race spokes.

Around 1600g Tubeless ready for not a lot of money.

Good deal on Planet X tubs at the mo - if I had any room on the c-card I'd be tempted though no idea if good!

I just bought a set of 29er disc wheels from the superstar sale for my cross bike, probably a bit heavy but they should last forever

Kinesis Crosslights
Mason x Hunt
Novatech CXD

For that budget though you could get some decent carbon rims or something custom built on Hope Pro's.

I eventually buit up some CK R45 Disc hubs onto Stans Crest Rims for just under £500. A fraction over 1500g. Would've liked Carbon, but it would've pushed the price to more like £700.
