SRAM PC-1.

Cheap as chips and tough as old boots.

(waits for someone to argue the point.... cue stories of mangled knackers and other carnage...)

Yeah SRAM PC-1. I've tried a couple of KMC chains, perhaps I was unlucky as I wasnt impressed with either, went back to SRAM again after.

Never had a problem with the KMC chains...currently have a Ti-nitride one which is pretty bling (when it's clean) and seems to run dead smooth although i'm sure it's not really any better than the much cheaper Z510.

Any old chain seems to work for me .It has less work to do than with gears so i'm not to bothered about quality

Sram PC89 or KMC 610HX in 3/32". The Sram is a lot lighter if that floats your boat.
