I've decided that my 2004 Enduro frame deserves to be rebuilt, I'm going to have to source a new fork for it.

Any recommendations for a 130mm fork?

Recons?

magura menja's a re super plush (kinda like old marzocchi levels of plush) but the damping is a bit pants if I'm honest. not entirely noticeable unless your really hammering down breaking bumps at speed in which case it packs down as the rebound is kind of an in-between setting. Set it any slower and it doesn't rebound nicely in normal use, any faster and it tops out.

I put Pikes on mine too. My Pikes (Airs) are now on my Marin 140, the coils that came off the Marin are now in my missus's bike. So if I'd nicked 'em back I'd have some explaining to do.

I guess I could buy her a set of Recons... Hmm....

As others have already said - Pikes, can't go wrong for the money you can pick them up 2nd hand!

Righty... I'll take the Pikes off my missus's bike then.

Okay, next question - what 100mm - 120mm fork for my missus's Merlin Malt?

Mine seems pretty spot on with 130mm revs.

Fwiw, it works much better with a 200mm x 50 rear shock which is approx 10mm longer than the standard shock and raises the bb just enough to stop all the crank strikes that the otherwise too low bb causes.

old 130 Rev's (or 140's) or new 150's ones if you have the cash.
