Hi all, whilst I was out this morning for a ride I noticed a LOT ๐ฏ of oil leaking from the area of the motion control near the remote adjuster for the poploc. It was running down the lowers and a lot of oil had sprayed on the underside of the downtube, also the poploc had seized and wouldn't budge.
The forks are 08 Rebas with an external flood gate, I've had the MoCo cartridge out and stripped it down as far as I can and as far as I can tell there are only two O rings on it to replace and no seal, apart from a white washer, that I can see where the blue adjuster and flood gate sits.
I've had this problem before not long after I'd bought them, although not as bad as this, sent them back to get fixed and they replaced the MoCo unit.
Is there a fix for this? Or does it mean a new MoCo cartridge, CRC are selling the new 09/10 cartridge which is supposed to be better ๐
o ring fail
Are there o rings internally? I can only see two large o rings on the outside, top and bottom, and the leak isn't coming from those.
Think there is 1 inside, im sure the cart can be opened but its reverse thread...awaits to be corrected
