Sure I saw these around years ago.........

does such a thing exist, allowing conversion to disc brakes?

I've an A2Z one on my CX bike - works well though it's a bit heavy and only works on some frames.

cheers clubber - I'd seen those but couldn't find who sold them. Answer in front of my nose!

I prefer the Specialized one. It bolts to the V mount to spread the load and, once fitted, there's no extra faff removing the wheel. The only problem is they don't make them any more. Might get one from ebay or the calssifieds.

I used the self fix GT one on my Zaskar and it was great. Its now fitted to my wifes refurbished tempest with no issues.
