how and what have you done there?

Bodged a Disc mount on by the looks of it?

Disc brake mount added to frame – rear section bolted to dropout, front made from plate steel and braced with steel tubing, all glued up with epoxy and carbon fibre.

where did you get the carbon fiber?

Why would you bodge something like this together with glue? GLUE?

I met a chap up at Stainburn one day who was riding a home made, carbon fibre, full suss. It was hand painted in black & yellow and called the Wasp! 8O

I think your carbon and epoxy skills are getting better (visually anyway).

I got the carbon from easy composites I think, around £10 for 12″ x 3′, a little more for 0.5L epoxy.

well done for the record its the same way lots of companies like scott build frames only without the steel bits….now go charge 5k for a bike

Looks good, but can’t you play with bits that don’t have such a serious failure mode? Drinks bottle cage, or bar ends or something. Brakes and forks are definite blood letting time if they go wrong…..

That’s how the factory bodged one of my frames. Not a cf one either – metal matrix composite and ti.

I’m actually kind of impressed with al’s latest effort – that looks halfway decent.
