Gone from a single (out the box bike) 36 chain ring to a 32, on a standard 11/36 cassette, how many links should I remove? Rear mech is folded flat when in 10th. Thanks

If it was good before, then one link (one fat bit + one thin bit) - 2 teeth's worth of chain to correspond to the 2 fewer teeth the chain has to go round.

Would it not be 4 fewer teeth as I've gone from 36 to 32 up front?

Chain only uses half the teeth at any one time

^ it's now going round 16 teeth not 18

Just size it up on the usual manner. There isn't a set rule for chain length/chainring size.
