I was just reading onr of my old posts and Dibbs mentioned that Snaggletooth is a good run which end in Cockercombe Bottom? Does anyone know the entry point to this trail? Where is it on the map? Help would be appreciated. I like the fast and flowing stuff so hopefully I'm along the right lines.
If you like a fast and flowing blast, try out Ashley Combe. Start in the carpark opposite Great Bear and head down towards Great Wood. When you get the the gate, go though and then left along the fence, take the middle trail and carry on! Loads of speed!
Have a look at &searchp=ids.srf&mapp=map.srf]this from what I remember the entrance is near the lefthand corner of the Settlement and the exit is near the "k" in Cockercombe, I'm sure I've got a GPS trace at home somewhere.
It's not fast and it was pretty overgrown the last time I went down there.
Excellent. Thanks Dibbs. I'll give it a go. May head up this week as need to do some scouting for a group ride on Sunday!
Found it!

Knacker's Hole!
Drop past the settlement, past a track on the right, as it levels out after about 100 metres, look to the left for a grassy trail head. Last time i went down there about a year ago, it was incredibly overgrown.
Just before the settlement there's another trail head. Possibly the steepest and most techy descent on the Quantocks. ๐ http://video.mpora.com/watch/icqSmdJM6/hd/
maybe worth finding for completeness but its not really worth it.
Cheers guys. i'll have a look around when I'm up there some time. Haven't ever explored the area where Snaggletooth is. Everything but. Up tomorrow actually for a Friday 'slacking off work' session! Gonna do Willoughby Cleeve and Bincombe. Haven't done Bincombe before.
Knacker's hole is priceless!
