Hopefully goes some way towards solving the elevation calibration problem.

I can't get 3.1 onto my new Edge 705 (shipped with 3.0). I'm using the WebUpdater, but nowt is happening. Anyone else have problems?

Did mine 2 days ago with no problems 🙂 Maybe server is busy/down - try again in a few hours/tomorrow!

Nah - It connects to the server OK, recognises it needs to do an upgrade, downloads it and then seems to apply it to the GPSr. I even get a "your 705 had been updated" message. When I switch it on and look at Settings..System..About, it still says V3.00

How about this:

https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?t=4094

"Garmin are aware and are emailing out a zip file to enable a manual update - but yes - jimwhimps's solution works - thanks Jim "

I worked it out.

I needed to plug it into power from the wall.

Meh - that hasn't worked either. I can see the updated GCD file on the "E:\" drive (i.e. 705 internal memory), but the unit doesn't seem to want to boot from it for some reason.

Charlie you couldn't miss it if you had the problem, it looks like this:-

The ride should have ended at 200ft, not over 1000ft in the air above my house.
