Been watching a lot of the Giro recently and Its been pretty good viewing . Not knowing much about road racing would this level of competition use electronic gears. ?

Really good race, some serious falls for us mere mortals but they just bounce and get back on and ride.

In the final crash thought the old bloke was going to nick the bike,as he didnt do anything for the fallen rider.

Durham on tonight, and on itv4 on friday night at 20.00.

I was there, and wish I'd caught the name of the rider who did half the race with his left arm tucked up into his chest, with what looked like a fractured wrist or collarbone.

That man is a hero to me.
