Halfords now do own brand sensors. They are Bluetooth and ant+, work perfectly with Garmin and phones etc.

20 for the HR and 18 for the cadence

10 % off today plus any other discount you might have makes them mighty cheap.

Just had my first couple of rides with them and I am awash with stats...

Are they just the same unbranded ones from ebay?

Ah cheers, that reminds me to pop the cadence sensor in my bag to return tomorrow. It links up to my garmin ok but the refresh/sampling rate is super slow. I'd say a good few seconds lag before it reports a change in cadence, enough to be annoying. My old chainstay mounted tacx one was much quicker.

Are the unbranded ones off eBay any good?

My Garmin chainstay one is dying and £60 for replacements is a bit rich. Need the speed one to be accurate for turbo training.

@ico86 Ahh I've noticed that. I assumed that they all did it. Do the garmin ones refresh a lot quicker? If so then perhaps the cadence sensor isn't such a bargain

I've had two of the HR sensors (first one replaced under warranty) and both have absolutely eaten batteries - it's like they keep transmitting when there's no signal. I now remove the 'pod' from the strap, otherwise they go flat in about a week.

It does say to store the strap and the sensor separately in the manual

Pfft, like I read the manual. Just buy the Decathlon (or Garmin, or Polar, or Wahoo) one where you don't.
