I've found the answer to carrying floded shirts/trousers neatly in my messenger bag! I used to just quickly fold them and slot them in, but they always unfolded or became creased!

Seems to really do the trick, and makes a nice padding for my back too!

I have most of their range of packing bags - they have made me slightly less shabby around the globe for years. Highly recommended.
