Reduced to £75 here, cracking jackets for the winter slop.

I think I have one of these, without the hope branding. Decent jacket for the money.

I got one of those at Ard Rock (again, for £75..)

Really nice jacket.
But..
You do look a bit like a 'Go Ape' instructor!!!

I assume it's the I, rather than the II. But what's the difference?

We've one of those, without the branding, and it's a decent jacket.

Not very breathable though.

No purple Ano.
I is disappoint.

Thanks Op!
I was after a jacket as it goes😃👍

No, I have another too, kind of like a bin bag. Ok for sticking on for the worst though.

When I bought one, in the naff black camo, I couldn't find any difference between the 1 and 2, same material and cut as far as I could see. Friend had bought one previous, and recommended it for it's performance. No idea why my experience is so different from Matts & Kayak's, but I've had goretex/eVent, and my singletrack jacket is much better.
Very very impressed, if I hadn't bought one early this year and I'd be getting another from that link (much better colour). Recommended

I think there's 2 versions - a softshell and a fully waterproof version..

for current owners - how well does the fabric resist tears from things like thorns?

Seems ok I think. Not had any issues with the two jackets I've owned and my locals are pretty thorny.

I put a small square tear in mine landing on my shoulder in a crash, but I guess that's to be expected.

I've got an unbranded one, its a pretty decent jacket, that's a good price if you can tolerate the branding

Need a new hard shell. Bike is smothered in Hope bits and bobs. Always up for a bargain. But like my clothes (even none biking kit) branding kept to a minimum.

Conflicted.

I've bought one. It's cheap enough to put up with the branding and it means I won't have to rush cleaning and drying my DHB jacket after a wet Saturday ride. Just need a second pair of trews now.

Anyone with the softshell version... how waterproof/resistant is it?

I don’t rate the soft shell tbh, no real technical features or benefits. Not much wind proofing, and next to nil water resistance IME. But easy to overheat in.

Paying for the label.

I had one of these albeit the unbranded Naff black camo one. Its a good jacket but unfortunately suffers from sticky zips like a lot of endura stuff. Sadly I left it on a wall whilst loading my car in Inverness after doing the loch ness 360 . I've just replaced it with a Endura Flip humvee Jacket which was reduced to around £80 . It's really good and up there with Adidas Terrex TLD down jacket which is to good to wear on the bike.

sticky zips

Candlewax solves it.

quick deliveries too.. friend order one after I told him @ 12pm.. he had it this morning.

..again I have put candle wax on the zips, and yes a nice metal zip would have been better, but it's not a hugely expensive jackets, so some there always going to be some compromises.

It's fine, had mine just under a year and it's shrugged off brambles without issue (I infamously, don't slow down for brambles), but it's no ripstop material, so if you dive into the brambles, it's not going to survive.

Love mine, has served me well over the winter and pretty durable too, been fine with the brambles! Yes you get pretty warm in it, but if you want it to be waterproof at a reasonable price that's the sacrifice! I saved mine for the colder days, although it does have the pit vents which are pretty good.

I've an Endura jacket made of Exocell, it gets pretty wet from sweat. It's fine for either riding in proper s£££y conditions or very cold weather.

I've a Gore C5 jacket that is head and shoulders better but then it was twice the price.

"Paying for label" with Endura? I'm no brand snob but I'd put Endura firmly down in the budget/commuter brands alongside Altura, Polaris etc.
