Just a mention that the British Heart Foundation have some charity rides on based at Sherwood Pines this coming Sunday, so it may be busy.
One ride is a family route doing laps round the Pines, and there is a Challenge ride from Sherwood out to Clumber Park and back.
The event blurb talks about 900 people there last year, so may be rather busy if you were planning on riding there on Sunday.
But if you go, and see a fat bloke dying with number "185" strapped to his bars, give me a wave!
My son and I (11yr old) recently did the BHF ride around Rutland Water. We did the 23 mile route and there was around 400 entries for the day. Good day though and will do more next year.
Good luck to you and enjoy.
Bump - for anyone who missed it first time around.
Looking at the forecast, the crowds may not be an issue....
