Just to make everyone aware; you can now download for free the CTC's excellent 'fix that hole' app. The app allows you to easily tag potholes and badly fixed roads, the resulting tags are then forwarded the relavent local authority for fixing and you can monitor the results on line.
Good for a roadies (and mtbers and car drivers and any other road users)

Wigan came out to look at a pothole the same day as I reported it on the website. They didn't do anything other than paint round it, but its a start at least.

Think this is only for iPhone, but there is an equivalent Android app called "Fix My Street".
