Got some XT brakes coming and thought this might be a neat way to mount them. But they're not terribly cheap so wondering if anyone had tried them out?

Yes. Got them from Jenson, so they weren't *too* expensive. They don't actually save any weight over seperate clamps, but they do make mounting a RH Reverb lever under the left bar a bit easier - lets everything snuggle up a bit better, so the Reverb lever ends up closer to the grip.
...and they make your bars look a bit tidier than seperate clamps, if you care about such things!
