Edit: 4 months on my Praxxis is pretty much the same - just the occasional creak and the bearings are still fine.
No one (ok a few) have issues with BSA BB's and there are a wealth of options easily available.
FSA adaptor all the way (I've fitted 20+ with no issues over the years)
