Opening myself up to ridicule, but is there an inner tube which is stretchy enough to fit in either a 26" or 29" tyre, around 2-2.1"? I can't find one anywhere.

That's what I was thinking oldgit, possible 69er for commuting/hack bike and lack of space to carry spares on occasion. If you could only take one would it be 26 or 29?

Paul, no that didn't help. We still haven't resolved the issue of the tapir and the tapeworms.

IIRC I used a Slime tube up front, and it never did puncture.

Paul, no worries, I'm still working on the answer to that one. However, I have just been bitten by the magic cat which has slowed things down a wee bit.
