Just discovered these. I teach at a college where we have an active printroom, with Albion and Columbian letter press's. The engineer uses a angle grinder with a polystrip wheel which polishes up all the bare metal fantasically, the presses are from 1863 onwards.
Any thoughts on using them to strip frames, metal, wood etc?
any answers?
well i got them and brilliant, really good at rust, wood etc.
Just looked these up, is it scotch brite on a disc?
I've been thinking about using these on an old frame. Do they flex into tight areas like the BB chainstay bridge area ok?
scotch brite on a disc
Though they look like it in pictures no they aren't.
I know nothing about this stuff but I know that frame tubes are often awful thin
They're sort of like crunchy scotchbrite. I like 'em, less destructive than a wire wheel. But they don't really flex like you describe alex
Soory for the late reply.
There is no flex in them, maybe theres another type.
Bascically anything flat will come up fantastically, though let the wheel do the work as you get some gouging.
I tried them on railways sleepers, really good!
