Mate of mine has just had a stolen bike returned by the Police.
Apparently the officer went into great detail about he'd contacted the supplier - it's a Spa Cycles branded bike - with the frame number to get my mates details.
My mate felt rather ungrateful when he showed the officer that amongst the pile of black headset spacers was a shiny gold one engraved with his ICE contact number 🙄
Your mate is indeed a bit of a dick.
It's a nice idea having ICE engraved on a spacer, but what kind of idiot would look there? Or perhaps, what kind of idiot would think that it was ana obvious place to look?
It's clearly failed in its duty as an ICE device if the police don't even notice it when trying to trace the owner.
It's hardly an emergency, so why would it merit ringing his mum?
