[Closed] Play with floating rotors?

Hi,

I have used a floating rotor from Hayes and after only a couple of rides, it has developed some play (in the braking direction).

Is it something I should worry about? Is it going to get worse and are all floating rotors getting some play that fast?

I think its why some bike makers developed the floating shock instead.

Maybe?

Had a Hope one that did it. Their advice was its fine, but just to press the rivets a bit tighter if unhappy. I did. It was fine.

Interesting, I'll try that then.

Isn't 'floating' simply another way of saying 'moves a bit but in the controlled way we intended' ?
