Just trying to fit a Fox RP3 shock to my specialized Pitch. (Up till now ive had a coil on it)

The air valve of the shock hits the frame rocker arm. Any one else had this problem?

Certain it's the correct e2e ?

edit: not even sure that would cause a problem but cant think of any other reason

Yep, laid it alongside the coil shock to check. 200x57?

Looking at a few photos on google, the valve looks close, but this is contacting.

Not sure. Would have thought that the ends of the shocks were the sme whatever the aircan size?

Its almost like the valve is too long.

There's "no right way up" with them, so just fit it face up/down or can at the bottom, so that it does fit.
What size frame? I know my Gemini's user guide, came with different fitting instruction for the same shock in the different sized frames.

Rp3's have the older design air valve angle, on rp2's the air valve is angled forward instead of sideways to increase clearance for the valve and rocker links, my old hl 5spot has the same issue, when I had an rp3 I had to run it upside down, my rp2 fits fine,

Argh, that would explain it, doe's look like the valve is quite long.

Did not know you could run them either way up, had never really though about it. Will try that.
Thanks for the help!

You can get a gonzo valve from mojo, that's what I did with mine. Guess whose nose it looks like.

I've got one on my Pitch and it does foul. I switched it round so it was backwards and it fits fine but the pro pedal lever is a little hard to access but not impossible.

YOu can just about make out the Gonzo valve on these pics. It is sticking out above the rocker. It is a proper Fox part.
