I've managed to break a piston in my Shimano SLX caliper (BR-675). It leaks oil at quite a rate, and the piston makes crunchy noises when gently squeezing it ๐Ÿ™

I've seen a couple of posts on here about replacing pistons, e.g. with these sorts of parts from eBay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydraulic-New-For-Shimano-2pc-Caliper-Suit-Xt-m785-m8000-675-Parts-Piston-Brake/401508947192?hash=item5d7bcc54f8:g:T5IAAOSw5ipaqpxR:rk:7:pf:0

...but no conclusion as to whether it worked out in the end or not. I'd quite like to repair the caliper if I can, but I'd appreciate any experiences as to how feasible this is.

Has anyone successfully replaced pistons in Shimano calipers, or am I better off just binning it and buying a new one?
