A bit of fettling this morning to finish fitting new Middleburns and forks and a tidy up of the shed so a chance for some new snaps of the Ti29. Unfortunatley waiting on delivery of a +20mm calliper mount so can't ride it just yet.

So vanity pics in here.

chain looks a bit rusty and I don't know if you've noticed but a mountain appears to be consuming your house? 😆

it takes years of practice to get that consistency of rust over the whole chain you know.

a mountain appears to be consuming your house

strangley close to the truth there Mr Nutt. 🙂

The Cham is just the bike I've been wanting for ages TBH. I genuinely don't think I'm massively slower on it on the downs than the Helius. It's stiff, but talk of "Like being fisted by Joe Calzhage, and Joe's still got his glove on" is way off the mark, did 5 hours in Wales couple of weeks back It it was cool.

Thors...Dunno really, seem bomb proof, like the stiffness, but set-up time has been endless, after 5 months just about got there with pretty much constant "3 psi in, 1 out" kind of gig. Don't trust them if I'm honest after the lowers cracked.

Instead of buying a new bike, I've just been replacing parts as they break/wear out. Sweet as!

Why thank you. The Rebas have made a huge difference, as have the Juicy 5s which came very handy in yesterday on a very rocky technical descent that previously I walked down.

Am running some reinforced 2.4"s for the Spanish rocky and thorny terrain, and the wheeels were basically the only ones available in the LBS.

Stoner; Only 6'2" but long legged. Yup agreed about the Sultan, you must be reading my mind! Really want to try one, but at £1450 which is what i think the motolite will end up costing I hope (£1300 for the bike new, plus a bit of bits swap). this was a good solution for my needs. Its only really a bike for the mountains and alps. Cant see myself blatting round Swinley on it 😆

Thanks MrFC - am very pleased with it, worth trying. Quite a capable bike (more capable than me) and the build comes up at 28lbs so quite light as well.

nice bike stoner...

just curious but is your seat a bit far back..?

i'd imagine the front wheel wandering all over theplace on climbs with it in that position..?

surely on a SS most climbs will be done out of the saddle anyway?

as mangoman says, SS climbing done out of the saddle (unless you're that freak SSStu). ANd 29er front wheels dont wander about anything like as much as a 26er.

Seat that far back as I am 6'4" though and it's a 19.5" frame (used to have 21" scadal but the smaller frame is definately the right way to go). Forks at 120mm to start which may be a bit too much for the frame. Will start putting in more sag first and if that isnt helping then Ill change the travel to 100mm.

thflatboy - nice build. Pity about the decals 🙂
