Never understood why the grub screw mating surface is not machined with flats to prevent slipping on these. You need to tighten to the point of deforming the BB shell to keep them tight (see screw marks on the right hand unit in the pic). Flats would reduce the torque needed due to better interface with grub screw tips, and whilst they would stop the infinite adjustment, how much adjustment do you really need (or would be prepared to sacrifice for creak-free use)?
120 flats on the surface would give you 3 degrees adjustment per notch, I'm sure that would be adequate for adjusting chain tension?

Brick lane bikes are the uk importer (through their sister company BLb Big Mama). Speak to them.

The EBB on my Swift doesn't creak, but I believe it's not Phil Wood.

I think I've got a lightly used one kicking around in my box of Phil Wood stuff. You can have it for a couple of beers.

I'm glad you have no creaks from your EBBs!
TBF mine didn't until it had been through a few years of use and adjustment, the screw burrs built up though eventually and made it difficult to keep secure. Greasing, checking torque and thread locking solve the slip but got fed up with doing it after every few rides. Better than the Niner effort though!

There's nothing to creak in a Phil Wood set up.

Anyone get a relieved one ?
Always wondered why my indy fab has a huge chunky EBB, when something nice and machined would be better..
