Ive posted on retro bike but wondered if any old roadies could value this bike..

Hello all and wondered if someone could give me a ball park figure as to the value of my stunning 1981 Koga Miyata. In excellent condition !

The specs are as follows -

KOGA MIYATA - 1981

Frame -

58cm Hi Manga double butted steel.

Forks -

531 Fork Blades

Rolling kit -

Rims ( Front and rear) - Welber Super Champions - model 58
Hubs - Campagnolo Record
Tyres - Vredestein Moiree 28 x 622
QR's - Campagnolo

Brakes -

Shimano Dura Ace - Levers
Shimano 500 brake calipers

Gears -

Stem mounted Suntour levers
Front mech - Shimano Altus
Rear mech - Shimano XT

Crank arms - Stronglight

Bars -

3 TTT

Stem -

3TTT

Seat -

Brooks leather vintage

Finished in a beautiful blood red colour with hardly any damage or chips.

I am possibly going to sell this but need an idea of its value - cheers !

To be honest, probably not much - £100-£200. Good old road bikes are still very common, so unless it's something unusual and desirable it's not going to be a great deal. Keep it for the memories 😉

What he said, £100 maybe, although that's 5x more than I paid for my similar first road bike 8 years ago, some fixie fashionista will buy it on LFGSS

Hi, you could try giving this guy a call was very helpful when I was restoring a mate's Claud Butler, seems to know his stuff....
