Awaiting delivery of a Genesis Croix de Fer and am wondering what pedals to get. Will be wanting flats to use with 5.10's, not going to be bashing out big mileage, not fussed about clips.

Are there pedals more suited to this type of bike, or should I look at the same suspects I would for MTB (I suppose I don't need the pins to be as aggressive as my vaults.)

Any reason not to get some el guapo's for £20 from planet X?

Why not SPDs?

Because they don't want them and have shoes for flats?

Yep, plus I'm just well used to flats already. Flats will be more suited to the type of riding I'll be doing; to the shops, up and down the prom, the odd commute and I won't have to change my footwear all the time.

I had good old Superstar flats on my Day One for maximum colour coordination.

If you really must use flats I'd probably go for something as light as possible. Big heavy pedals are unnecessary and annoying. But then I can't see for a second why you'd use flats on a bike like that.
