Last day to take my outstanding annual leave tomorrow, so I'm thinking of a trip down to the peak (hope valley, fairholmes, usual kinds of famous trails round there).

Just wondering if anyone has knowledge of the trail conditions and also volume of traffic on the trails? Although mid week, we're just
a couple of days out of lockdown, and also the sun might bring every man and his dog out!

I'll check kofthep too.

Ta!

I was out at Hayfield last night so a bit further south. Trails were running fast with some squelchy bits - today's sun will have baked that dry no doubt. Granted it was a night ride, but I didn't see a single other rider in a 2hr loop - I had similar reservations to you as it was the first evening of eased restrictions.

Enjoy!

Just got in from doing a version of the Eastern Moors loop this afternoon. Trails are mostly dry, with the odd wet patch. I'd taken my mudhugger off and didn't wish I'd kept it on. Some busy sections with walkers, but generally pretty good.

Definetly go for it, weather tomorrow is supposed to be good.

Done Stanage Edge, Whinstone Lee Tor, Hope Cross, Potato Alley, Lockerbrook and Cut Gate today.

It was GLORIOUS. Quite a few walkers around Ladybower, met few bikers. But nothing too drastic.

Seen much worse. Only place I was really slowing down was on North America, but that one is always busy no matter the weather and time of the year.

If you are driving make it early doors as you might be hard pressed for parking space. Even at 9:30am most of parking bays and carparks were already overflowing.

Just to spice up your appetite ๐Ÿ˜‰ https://www.flickr.com/photos/39409125@N02/albums/72157718509032969

Cheers!
I.

It's heaving and dickheads seem to be setting fire to it already.

Well I went out to the peak and it was ace. All the trails out in the open running really well. Trails in the woods had some muddy bits.
The only place I went that I could call busy (but only very very marginally) was hollins cross ridge (and that's asking for trouble). Nothing was on fire.
Top day out.
Bet it's heaving at the weekend tho ☹️
