Hi

Help appreciated from cyclocross-ists with Peak knowledge

Currently holed up at the in laws in Matlock and hoping to escape on a crosser tomorrow
I vaguely know the local bridleways but my knowledge is patchy at best

It would be nice to get as much off road as possible, but Id actually like to ride it rather than push
Obviously the crosser shrinks the road sections so Im not shy of a few road miles in between

Looking for a 3-4h loop, and happy to drive nearer Edale/Hope etc if that helps with a flowing route

Thanks!

Start from Matlock and do something like this:

Another suggestion:- try riding the white peak loop

white peak loop

ride the pennine bridleway to shortcut the buxton part and connect high peak trail and monsal trail. After coombes road past Bakewell turn left and ride up the bridleway into rowsley and then follow derwent valley heritage way back into matlock.

You need to get hold of Richpipps...

Or Tom.

I'm sure they'd help out. 8)

Thanks for the tips

The railway route was an easy win on account of ridiculous windy conditions
