Snow looks pretty dire in the alps at present so I'll be looking to get some climbing and biking done over the two week Christmas holiday.
Is anyone on about in the Nuremberg/Erlangen/Franconia/Fichtelgebirge area to meet up for either road rides or off road?

Alternatively does anyone know of any good German bike forums where I might find groups going out?

cheers

No clue but Frankenjura had the best climbing I ever did (1992 8O) and a really great place.

Not in December it hasn't

If you google the BMX club with the track just North of Erlangen, there appears to be a downhill section. It might be worth getting in touch with them. Alternatively, if you work for Siemans, you could see if they have a club as they seemed to have a club for pretty much everything when I was there.

Oo I don't know. If you've got your duvet jacket with you and a decent pair of gloves then you should be able to get some decent routes done. Even down to about minus 6 it is usually fairly dry so as long as you aren't planning on working any routes you can still get some good climbing done. You just have to keep moving.
