What's going to be tougher. 4th Cat or LVRC races?
Just been talking to a mate and he thinks the same as me, and that's LVRC. Plus there's less likleyhood of cowboy racers in the LVRC.
Although I'm band C in LVRC so I'll probably be racing 40 year old ex 1st and 2nd Cats as well as ex pros.
What do you think.

LVRC
Though 4th Cat will be more dangerous!

LVRC

4th cat races always seem to have lots of crashes. I never raced 4th, since I wanted to avoid it due to the crashes. The best LVRC races seem like slower 2/3rd cat races.

That's what I thought myself, and usually far better riders.
Though I might take the option of moving up an age group. 50+ puts me in C, which is the faster ABC race. I might go D for a more 'gentle' return to the road.

Trouble with 4th cat races is that they are often chucked in with 3rds and juniors.

You get quick 3rd cats, squirrelly juniors and inexperienced 4 cat riders all together, not to mention testers and triathletes in training...

Use a bike you don't mind getting crashed and ride in the first 6.

LVRC will be a bit slower but much better riders, bit more chess on wheels, and a lot more wily auld ****ers..
