My daughter came out on her first “proper” ride at the weekend. She did 17km, had one collision with her mate, cut her knee and we had one ice cream stop. So, all in all it was a success.

She has now requested a pair of padded shorts and my parents want to get her these for her birthday.

Can anyone recommend a pair online? Preferably something in black with a pink trim to match her jersey and helmet.

Decathlon do plain black roadie style or baggy-with-padded-liner MTB shorts which seem pretty good, we've both and they seem reasonable. Endura do MTB style shorts which are indeed black/pink but I'm not sure if the Endura ones go big enough, I'm discovering there's a gap around 11 years old where kids stuff is too small but adult is too big.

HUP cycling ones are nice ( should be for the price)

DHB (wiggle) and decathlon do decent padded bibs for kids, can just wear these under baggies.

Maddison do decent kids stuff as well, might be some colour schemes she likes.
