I've got a load of gels that went out of date in July (Torq ones). If I eat them over the next month or so, is it going to kill me?

When are people actually going to learn what best before dates mean? It's not hard. There would be so much less waste in the world.
I found a box of Chomps at work, 24 months out of date, ate them over a few weeks. didn't die.
Had a sis gel today that went out of date in February, tasted ok, only another 12 out of date gels to go!
