HI all,
We're getting a water softner fitted (got that bit sorted I think) but now thinking about an in line water filter for the kitchen (drinking water) tap
Have googled a bit but didn't see many reviews
Brita seems expensive - cartridge is £35 and last 3 mths - anyone got a cheaper systems they would recommend?

wickes and B & Q do one for £20 [kit is £40 including tap iirc]and it lasts 6 months i use it but no idea if it makes any actual difference
Filters vary as to what they remove and this probably explains the cost dofferenc e- worth checking what they claim to remove as well
