[Closed] Orange Patriot 2007 alternative shock mount

I seem to remember reading when I got this bike that you could get a different shock mount to allow the fitting of a 190mm shock and end up with 5" of travel instead of 7. Anyone done this?

At the time I thought it would be a bit pointless, but recently I started wondering if I could fit this and slide the mount forward a bit, thereby lowering the bike. This could give a lower centre of gravity but be firmer than running more sag. And if I wind my 180mm forks out all the way I'd get something like an Alpine 160, maybe.
