I've been toying with the possibility of a rigid fork for my mountain bike. At 15s 5lbs I don't think that I'd trust carbon. Does anyone know whether the Orange F8 rigid fork is steel or aluminium?

Not sure but looking at the tubing diameter and weight I'm thinking steel

Used to be! I have an old set that weigh only 900g and still ride really well unless they were an F7?

Looks like steel to me. F7 looks very similar but has canti mounts and no disc mounts IIRC

Mine are steel, been a long time since they did ali rigids.
