Now that was stupid...

Removing cranks from kids Islabike.
Bashing away with rubber mallet, ignoring all signs that something's not right. Crank tool shears. WTF?
Turns out I didn't actually remove the crank bolt. HOW THE &^%$ DID I NOT REMOVE THE CRANK BOLT!!!
So now half of the crank remover tool is left threaded inside the crank. I might salvage the tool, its just a bit shorter now.. but how do I get the tightly threaded half-a-tool out of the crank?!
Crank bolt has no allen head. No room between the crank bolt head and the newly installed tool.
Can't even work out how to remove even if I sacrifice the crank...

Crank Removal FAIL.

Permission is granted that your first post can take the piss, your second post must be helpful.

I reckon chisels and punches might work but will no doubt destroy the crank thread too...?

If your just hitting the broke tool to turn that the crank threads should be ok.

It may come to drilling the head off the crank bolt to possibly get the crank off.

You may have to resort to something like a balljoint splitter (Fork style), to remove the crank. Of course you would have to protect the frame/crank with some scrap sheet metal etc.

I recently tried to remove BB cups with an 18" breaker bar, the wrong way. (without breaking anything) so your excused a slagging from me.

A picture would help.
From what I think you've got, I would try welding a bolt to the remains of the extractor, then unscrew it while it's still hot.
