Anyone fitted one to an 11-36? How many extra linsk did you fit?

I'd fit a new chain personally, the old chain may be worn and fitting new links may mess up shifting/wear etc.

Same principle as fitting a new chain no? Big to big without going through the RD plus 2?

Still waiting for my Wolf tooth ๐Ÿ™

OneUp suggest this - my chain was exactly that length when I checked it with sprocket fitted. Everything shifts fine, it doesn't look like it's overstretching the mech, but the cautious part of me feels I owe it one extra link to be on the safe side.

Do 4-bars (nicolai) have a lot of chain growth?

You can check chain growth by removing air from the shock and compressing it whilst in biggest cog and sprocket. Or remove shock linkage.
