Wife and kids out on a girlie day, I had some boring admin to do at work.
So chose to ride a very round about way in, because I had the time.
At the midpoint furthest from home/work, somehow ripped rear mech off 🙁
Attempts at single speeding it failed, limped a few miles to local bike shop who very kindly bodged it for me for no fee! Time to go home with tail between legs...
Sadly the bodge failed after 2 miles and as I was resigned to scooting home, the sole fell off my left shoe...☹️
Finally got home after scooting/walking a few miles.
Now left with broken bike (need new mech, hanger and chain, cassette was on way out too) and can’t use spare bike for commuting as shoes fubared.
And I never got the work done either!
Hope you have all had better days ( I know in the scheme of things it is nothing but it was the first day this year I’ve had time to go Out and ride for fun)
Ah well, at least all the bad luck due to you has happened all at once. You'll be golden for a while now.
