Woohoo, it’s the first year we’ve been and on the way :):):) the girls are very very excited, should be a fun filled four days! Any tips from seasoned Malvern goers? Kids are 9, 10 and 11 plus a couple of mountain biking lite mums!
So are we! Sans kids though and first time there so no advice to give. Excited though.

Been going since the 90s and attended the latest Malvern Classic's and wasn't overall impressed but this year felt better.. could actually ride your bike in the arena at a bike event!!! Might also have been wasn't racing and just soaking it all in.. Kids loved the live bands and do's 🙂
looked pretty busy this year. Was hoping to make it, but ended up that I couldn't
next year I'm going to go though. it's my 50th the bank holiday weekend, so will be good to be at home, to see friends and family but base myself in a field with lots of bikes.
not sure I've convinced the OH yet though, I think she was talking about parties and all that social rubbish.

That's a big change, was there the last 2 years (not this year) and you had to feel slightly for the new arrivals, especially the excited kids as they happily ride up only to be told immediately to get off their bikes by security.
I fully understand it was probably something Si had to do to tick a box for the insurance and the hired security were just following orders but it was a bit jarring to be at something that was supposed to a celebration of all things riding and hear "OI, GET ORF YER BIKE!!!" being yelled all day.
Glad Si managed to talk sense into the pen pushers.
