Back in the day, that was the hallmark of Canadian made steel hard tails.

The 931 is interesting, shape of the frame is quite straight forward. Looks solid.

It'll be interesting to see how stainless affects the LTHT world.

I have never been able to put my finger on why I hate some hardtail frames and not others. you have just made me realise that this is the exact reason.

Me too. Neutral axis of all tubes should pass through a common point. Failure to observe this rule was observed as the reason for failure during destructive testing of one of my engineering projects many years ago. It has stayed with me ever since.
