A tyre for Wet Loose Conditions? Great value, great performing rubber for anything loose.
Fitted one for my very first foray at Dyfi bike park..
it went really well to be fair and there's lots of wet rock there.
just wished they did it in a 2.4" or maybe even a 2.5"..?!?
Are there really that many (more difficult) trails that don’t have any rock in them? Sure, easy greens and blues might be rock free, but once you step into black and double black trails, the kind where grip really starts to matter and you are willing to trade off rolling resistance for it, rocks start to make an appearance every time, as far as I can think of.
I also seem to find that the mud bits are the least treacherous. It’s often the rock, and certainly the roots, that are my biggest nemesis in the wet.
My ideal wet weather tread just needs to not hold on to mud too much, and after that I’d say it’s wet rock and root traction that is what keeps me upright.
