Suggtions of short mountain bike rides as the title suggests can see loads of options just wanting something that hasn’t been tarmaced by derbyshire council. 

away with a 9 month old and my partner so limited in terms of time away.

Up Pindale  down Cavedale.

Sad fact is that would probably fill an hour for me these days 🙁

Up broken Road, Mam Nick Greenlands Farm, Hollins Cross then either

Descend back to Castleton direct or

Backtor Farm, Jaggers Clough, Roman Halfpipe/ Road back to Hope then home.  ( Add in Beast and Elmin Pits if you have more time or are FaF.

just back from this as a night ride after the bairn had gone to sleep. cheers for the recommendations lots of mud lots of fun. 
I was not fast AF took me 1hr20 just to do this.
