All mine (or they were in 2009) was at 11 fully running bikes now sold off a fair bit of stuff so am "down to" 7 or 8 running bikes want to slim both myself & the bike collection even further this year.

7 at the moment, plus 2 for wife and 3 for the kids.

Mine:

Intense 66 - awesome, just changed 36 RC2s for Lyrik Coil U Turns.
Intense EVP 55 - lovely.
Turner Flux - proper 4 bar 100mm marathon bike
Merlin Mountain - Ti hardtail with original Fox Floats
Cotic Soul - 2010 model with Fox Talas
Giant MCM - full carbon with Pace RC31s - commuter
Airborne Manhattan Project Ti/ Carbon Roadie - terrifying!

Giver N=n+1, I'm considering an Alfine 29er for my new tarmac longer/ flatter commute - suggestions? 8 sp good enough or should I wait for the Alfine 11?

At the moment, 3 and a half.

Carrera Kraken, 1x9, Rebas, XTR brakes/shifter for XC.
Turner Rail, 1x9, Pikes, Louises for DH/jumps/whatever. (To be honest this hardly gets used and stays at home when I'm at uni, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it, I don't think I'd get a lot for it)
Fly Pantera BMX for getting around campus/used to ride parks on it too.
Got a Gary Fisher GED frame, and enough parts to build it, might do at some point.
Really want a roadie this year, borrowed one last year and loved it.

3 - sportive road bike, hard tail mountain bike and commuter bike. These cover most of my riding "needs"

The last one has changed as jobs/offices/commuting routes have evolved.

Actually, could do with a 4th really, an audax bike for winter riding. And a better commuter. And another hard tail so I could have a winter bike and a "best" bike. And maybe a full sus for bigger days out....

Damn you, now look what you've made me do!
