Im planning a trip to north yorks and want some advice about it.
We're planning to camp at night ride in the day then drive between locations.
day 1 dalby. day 2 reeth area.day 3 settle area .day 4 gisburn forest.
where are campsites near these places?are there any better riding spots (we must start at dalby as we have friends there),can people recomend routes?or places to ride to /from or campsites?
we're trying to keep in budget( bloody students i know),the riding we're lookig for is classic xc we're both on 100mm full sussers and sadly still follow the lyrca brigade.
Thanks
Bruce and assorted pals

Knight Stainforth campsite near Settle is meant to be a nice campsite according to friends. Loads of route options from there. Did a good route from Settle with MrsFlash, I think it was - up to Street Gate, down Hawkswick Clowder to Arncliffe, Littondale to Foxup, over to Helwith Bridge, Helwith Bridge back to Settle, 35 miles ish I think. Could do Tour of Ingleborough or the Tour of Pen y Ghent from there too.

For Reeth, give Stewart a ring at the Dales Centre.

I'm sure he'll recommend you some routes and if you ask nicely he might let you camp in one of the fields next to his place.

Also for settle give this a go anti-clockwise

You can start in Settle/Stainforth/Armcliff

you could stay at my parent's B+B in Goathland, after you visit Dalby. Plus, there's some pretty good 'cheeky' riding, a great pub (Birch Hall) and you get to meet my dog!

call 01947896185 and ask for Rob or Michelle
