hello.
we are riding this hallowed soil on saturday and i would like to take on the killer loop, however the only routes that i can find do not go onto 'ride the summer lightening' with most seeming to climb upto leith tower.
If some kind soul out there has a memory map route that they would like to share we would be most grateful.
thank you.

Summer Lightning is beyond Leith Hill tower, one would tend to do both, not either or.

And to be pedantic, Leith/Pitch/Holmbury are the Surrey Hills, not the North Downs.

How's that unhelpful? Your post implied that you can't find routes that do Summer Lightning because they go to Leith Hill tower instead, I'm saying that a sensible route would actually include both.

I was going to upload a gpx, but I really can't be arsed now, I hope you get lost and do nothing but endless fireroad! I'm off to ride up there now!

Pair of Tits? There's only one reply! I'll be the second then.

I don't think that will have done your cause much good, have you got any pictures you want altering in photoshop by any chance?

we probably will end up doing endless fireroads as the riding there always seems to be a let down.
dont know why we're bothering really, unless someone knows something about sometrails.

There's enough info out there about how to find the trails if you google it.
You're not good with people are you?

To be honest I've never done the Nirvana Killer Loop (or any other Killer Loops, there seem to be hundreds!), but there's plenty of good singletrack on all the hills up there, and you can do a lot worse than just tagging on with other riders.

This starts on Winterfold, but does Pitch, Holmbury and Leith as well, you'll find most of the best bits just following others, particularly at the weekend!

Mail me if you want: jaymcstay at mac dot com and i'll send you a gpx which includes: Barry's Knows Best, Summer Lightening (climb up and down), Telegraph, Youghurt Pots and Pitch Hill. I start from bottom of Summer Lightening and ride is approx 3hrs some hard climbing too.

Still riding a mountain bike then Jay!?

The trails mentioned above are the most notable ones worth doing, my GPX also included all of them, there's literally hundreds of little bits of trail, particularly up on Leith, which is worth exploring.

oooh! A splendid ride in the Surrey Hills on saturday, we all enjoyed finding new ribbons of dirt to follow.
I have never ridden parts of these hills and it has simply made me hanker for more!
